Victim in Copper Mountain Dr. shooting succumbs to injuries

The Nueces County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed a man wounded in a south side shooting has died. 

Police responded to the shooting Thursday November 9th around 11:30 a.m  at a home on Copper Mountain Drive. 

Witnesses told officer there appeared to be barbecue happening in the front yard of the home when two vehicles pulled up. 

Multiple people in those cars made their way into the home at some point. 

Police say one of the drivers, identified as 44-year-old Frederick Ramsey, was shot in the neck and taken to the hospital. 

Ramsey succumbed to his injuries, but it is unknown when he died. 

Few details have been released in the case as police are still investigating.
