King edges Miller as both teams finish season

King came from behind to beat Miller 24-21.

Miller scored on their first two possessions to go up 14-0.

But King knotted up the score to end the first quarter tied at 14-0.

    The Hooks baseball team is holding their annual South Texas Winter Baseball Banquet tonight The dinner was at the Solomon Ortiz Center. Third baseman J.D.Davis and right-handed pitcher Rogelio Armenteros were honored as the 2017 Hooks player and pitcher of the year.   Davis was Corpus Christi's lone representative on the Texas League postseason All-Star.

    Her name is Kacie  Rodriguez and she is the 8th ranked girls wrestler in the nation. Rodriguez is a senior at Moody High School, she's only lost one match this year. She's 25 and 1, far cry from her freshman year when she didn't win any matches. Rodriguez credits working hard and determination for her success and says she wants to go to college and will go the school that offers her the best scholarship.
