CORPUS CHRISTI -

Two children and an adult were hit by a car early Thursday morning.

It happened at the intersection of Leopard and Villa, near Oak Park Elementary around 7:40 A.M.

Police say a mother and her two children, age eight and nine, ignored a crossing guard's warning to stop and were struck by a car traveling on Leopard.

Both children were transported to Driscoll's Children's hospital and the adult was taken to Christus Spohn Shoreline

Police say injuries are non-life threatening.

Police say the driver will not be cited for the accident.
