More complaints against PAAC arise

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI -

Just last week, Action 10's John Rupolo reported on a story about two local dogs who died just weeks apart after getting fixed at People Assisting Animal Control, otherwise known as PAAC.  Since then, there has now been more complaints.

More people have reached out to Action 10 News bringing forward more complaints about the poor care their pets received at PAAC.

PAAC is known for offering low cost veterinarian care to the public. The complaints received mainly focus on spaying and neuturing.

Some dogs that have gotten fixed have had bleeding problems and infections, cats have died after being fixed and there have been other complaints.

Action 10 News came across multiple postings on social media describing the poor vet care after the first report aired.

Staci Donnelly told Action 10 News that she brought a stray to fixed several months ago. "I picked up the female puppy, she was bleeding from her incision, they took her back, they gave her two staples without giving her anymore medication, and I brought her to Everhart Animal Hospital where she received pain meds and antibiotics, and was sick."

John Rupolo will have more on these complaints against PAAC and what they are saying about it tonight at 10 p.m. on Action 10 News.
