Several families are without a home after a fire destroyed their apartment building, Tuesday morning.
It happened just after 2am at the Lantana Southridge Apartments in Beeville.
Fire officials say, the blaze damaged an eight-unit building, four of those apartments were occupied. Several families will be receiving help from the Red Cross and other organizations in the area. "Everything that they held dear I imagined, was inside that apartment, I kept telling my son, man they lost everything," said Kandy Rodriguez
The building received severe smoke and water damage. There's also a part of the roof that came off.
For those that witnessed the blaze, it was a sight they will never forget. "I have a baby girl, my wife was up there, waiting, and waiting to see if the fire was going to spread, we live right there," said Dillon Isaiah.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.
