As of October 9, the Red Cross had authorized more than $190 million in direct financial assistance to help more than 477,000 qualified households through its financial assistance program.
The assistance is available to the 39 counties in Texas affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Corpus Christi location: American Red Cross Chapter, 1721 S. Brownlee Boulevard will be open October 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Gregory location: Gregory City Hall, 204 W. 4th Street, will be open October 10 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Port Aransas location: 408 N Alister Street, will be open October 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Rockport location: The old H-E-B parking lot, 1409 Hwy. 35 N. Business, will be open October 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Victoria location: The Victoria Public Library, 302 N Main Street, will be open October 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Red Cross will also be providing meals, water and other supplies, such as clean-up kits, gloves and shovels at each location.
Severely impacted households that need immediate assistance can also apply at redcross.org/HHIA.
Those who have already applied but have not heard from the Red Cross within the 24-hour window do not need to reapply. The Red Cross is still processing applications and will contact everyone who has applied as soon as possible.
