Four families are searching for a place to stay this morning after a fire ripped through their apartment complex, according to officials at the Beeville Fire Department.

Firefighters with six different departments were called to the complex just after 2:15 a.m. on the 2000 block of Adams Street. More than 25 firefighters are still fighting the flames. We are told the fire is under control but not yet completely extinguished.

There are eight units in the apartment complex, four of those units have been severely damaged, according to Lisa Tindol, Public Information Officer with Beeville Fire Department.

The Red Cross has been called out of Victoria to assist the families. No injuries have been reported.

Investigators are not yet sure what caused the fire. Stay with KRIS 6 News for updates throughout the day.
