Troubleshooters Updates on Son's Truck and Johnston Transmission

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI -

The Troubleshooters went back to Staples Tire and Auto on Brownlee and Ayers today and spoke with the owner Frank Beceril.  We asked him what he plans to do about a 2001 Ford Ranger pick-up truck.

According to Estela Rodela, it's been sitting in Freer since late August because it doesn't run, and Staples Tire and Auto had worked on it.
The truck belonged to her late son, so she has a strong emotional attachment to it.

Beceril told us today he'll have it towed from Freer to his shop, and fix it, if Mrs. Rodela will pay for the current charges where it is in Freer.  We're waiting for Rodela's response.

We also went to Johnston Transmission today to find out the latest on this white Honda Passport that's been sitting out in front.  The one with the missing drivers side front window.  It belongs to Jennifer Espinor.

She called us claiming Johnston's supposedly fixed the transmission, but while they had it in their shop, the engine blew.  Alex Gomez says the business is struggling right now, so he can't give Espinor any definite timetable when her vehicle will be ready.

In the meantime, she's struggling to find consistent transportation.  We'll let you know how these get resolved.  And if you need the help of the Troubleshooters, call us at 885-0100.
