A man accused of assaulting of his girlfriend in two separate incidents has landed in jail. Officers were called to the area of 8100 SPID for an assault just before midnight on Sunday.
When officers arrived at the scene, they contacted a 24-year-old female victim who advised them that her boyfriend had assaulted her while she was driving.
The victim stated that her and her boyfriend had got into an argument over money, and her boyfriend who was sitting in the backseat of the vehicle began throwing small items at her while she driving.
According to the victim, when she yelled at her boyfriend to stop throwing things, he punched her in the left side of the face. Police say the victim stopped at a convenience store where the suspect got out of the vehicle and walked away.
While talking with the victim officers were able to observe redness and swelling to the left side of her face. Officers followed the victim home and checked her residence to make sure her boyfriend was not there, which he was not.
Late in the night around 2:18 a.m. the victim called police again to report that her boyfriend had got into her home through a broken window and assaulted her again. The victim had left her home following the assault to meet police at a nearby gas station.
When officers arrived at the gas station, the victim advised that her boyfriend had got into her home through a broken window and punched her in that back of the head while she was lying in bed.
Officers followed the victim back to her home. When the victim tried to go inside her home but the door was dead bolted from the inside. Officers searched the area and located the victim's boyfriend walking away from the back door.
28-year-old Anthony Quintanilla was arrested and charged with assault.
