CCPD searching for man accused of robbing pawn shop at gunpoint

Police are on the hunt for armed robber accused of targeting a local pawn shop. 

It happened Sunday afternoon around 4:10 p.m. at the First Cash Pawn Shop located in the Woodlawn Plaza Shopping Center at 3775 Leopard Street.

According to police, the alleged robber walked into the shop and asked an employee to see a gold necklace and some gold rings.

Police say he then pulled out a gun and ordered the employee to hand him over the jewelry, grabbed it and ran out the door. 

The male suspect is described as tall and slender Hispanic male with several tattoos.
