Three individuals accused of capital murder were indicted by the grand jury today.
Daniel Venegas, 29, Melissa Venegas, 40, Adan Pena, 30 were arrested in July in connection with the murder of Robert Flores, 24.
According to police, the accused were attempting to steal drugs from the victim when he was shot at a home on the 1300 block of the 11th Street on July 10.
The suspects fled the home in a white Durango, but police were able to stop them on Baldwin and 286 a short time later and they were subsequently arrested and charged with the crime.
In addition to capital murder, each defendant also faces one charge of murder and one charge of manslaughter.
In Texas, capital murder carries a heavy penalty. Since Texas is a state that allows capital punishment, those found guilty could receive a sentence of life in prison or the death penalty.
