Miller football team gearing up for grades

Posted: Updated:

This week the Miller football team is practicing an hour later.

The reason is grades. Coach Justen Evans wants to make sure the kids have all their work in and are in good academic standing with the school.

"We are educators first. We are coaches, we love to do it,  but all of us we are educators first. So our most important job is make sure we prepare our kids for life after high school and in football is such a small part of that. Its a tool that can be effectively use d to make sure our kids experience success in the classroom but ultimately their job is to come to school and get a good education," said Miller Coach Justen Evans.

The Bucs face GP at Buc Stadium on Friday.
