Miller football team gearing up for grades

This week the Miller football team is practicing an hour later.

The reason is grades. Coach Justen Evans wants to make sure the kids have all their work in and are in good academic standing with the school.

"We are educators first. We are coaches, we love to do it,  but all of us we are educators first. So our most important job is make sure we prepare our kids for life after high school and in football is such a small part of that. Its a tool that can be effectively use d to make sure our kids experience success in the classroom but ultimately their job is to come to school and get a good education," said Miller Coach Justen Evans.

    The management of Victory Pro Wrestling came to our studios to apologize for the behavior of Pit Bull RU, who was the instigator of a huge fight that broke out over a simple and friendly game of Foosball. Victory Pro Wrestling will hold a wrestling event at the Corpus Christi Event Center on Saturday December 16th. Door open at 6 pm and general admission tickets are only $8.00.

    It was a close game for the first quarter.  The period ended with the game was tied at 7. But Refugio scored at will after that and the Bobcats came up big on defense as well. The game ended with the Bobcats beating San Augustine 63-21. Refugio advances to the state title game to play Mart, the number one ranked 2A team in the state.
