Police say a man and woman are behind bars for beating up a man and stealing his car.

It happened Tuesday night around 11:20 p.m. at Bob Hall Pier out on the island.

Officers were advised in route to the call that a man and woman with tattoos assaulted a man and stole his red Chevy Camero convertible.

While officers were on there way to Bob Hall Pier they saw a vehicle matching the description of the reported stolen Camero parked at the Stripes in the 14500 block of SPID.

Officers made contact with the 55-year-old male victim who advised that he was with both the male and female suspects when they stopped his vehicle near Bob Hall Pier.

Witnesses at the scene told officers they saw the male suspect jump out of the car and pull the victim out of the passenger side door.

According to witnesses, the female suspect got into the driver's seat and began driving away, dragging the victim while the male suspect punched and kicked him.

After the victim finally let go of the vehicle, the female suspect turned the vehicle around, picked up the male suspect and drove off.

Medics arrived at the scene to check out the victim who complained of being in a lot of pain, but his injuries were minor and he was released at the scene.

Officers arrested 29-year-old Hope LeeAnn Clark and 36-year-old Michael Gerard Falcon for aggravated robbery.
