Posted: Updated:

An 11-year-old boy told police a stranger tried to abduct him on his walk home from school.

It happened Tuesday afternoon around 4 p.m. on Triple Crown Drive located off of Greenwood near Holly and Saratoga.

Family members told officers the boy was walking home from Los Encinos Elementary when a man allegedly tried to lure him into his truck.

The boy ran home and told relatives who then called police.

According to police, the boy described the suspect as a thin man who appeared to be in his 50's, with dark skin and short dark hair.

Police say that based on the boy's description, the suspect may be of Middle Eastern decent.

According to police, the driver may be in a white older model two-door pickup. The boy told officers and relatives that he did not see any license plates on the truck.

Police have issued an alert for truck and say the case is planned to be filed as attempted solicitation of a minor.

If you have any information about this alleged crime that could help police locate the driver, call CCPD at 886-2600.
