The Bourbon Street Candy Company earned the only prefect score.

The candy store is located at 5488 South Padre Island Drive.

Also on the A-list with a 99 is Sylvia's Pastries located at 9744 Leopard.

Whataburger located at 121 Shoreline scored a 98.

Great American Cookies located at 5488 South Padre Island Drive scored a 97.

Denny's located at 5165 Interstate 37 scored a 95.

Jalisco Bakery located at 822 Port scored a 94.

McDonald's located at 4101 Leopard scored a 94.

Vietnam Restaurant located at 701 Water scored a 94.

AMC Theaters Corpus 16 (Starplex) located at 5218 Silverberry scored a 92.

Frank's Spaghetti House located at 2724 Leopard scored a 90.

El Potro Mexico Restaurant located at 6085 Weber scored a 90.

Dropping down to the B-list with an 87 is Bull Chicks located at 1805 South Padre Island Drive.

Violations included spoiled hamburger patties, no food manager, food handlers needed permits, no thermometers, no towels at the hand washing sink, gnats, rodent droppings and grease build up on equipment and behind it needs to be cleaned.

McDonald's located at 1610 South Padre Island Drive scored an 85.

The restaurants lost points because butter cups were kept at the wrong temperature, dirty drink and ice dispenser nozzles, cleaning spray bottles were not stored properly, products on line need to be labeled, rodent droppings and employees not wearing beard guards.

Other violations included wet towels not stored properly, backdoor sweeps needed to be replaced, wall papers needed to be replaced and there were gaps in doors.

Cafeteria Mazeda located at 9001 Leopard scored an 83.

Health inspectors found rice kept at the wrong temperature, eggs kept at the wrong temperature, all knives needed to be washed thoroughly before storing on knife rack, a dirty ice machine, the sanitizing solution was too strong and there were no thermometers.

Other violations included rodent droppings, wiping towels not stored properly, plastic cups used to dispense dry goods, scoops not stored properly, food containers not labeled, ceiling tiles need to be replaced and personal belongings were stored next to paper goods.

Taqueria El Alteno #1 located at 2601 Ayers scored an 82.

Violations included raw chicken stored above cheese, food stored on top of food with a lid, a dirty slicer, no hot water and low pressure at the hand washing station, products stored in refrigerators not labeled, no thermometers, no paper towels at the hand washing sink, employees not wearing beard guards, employees eating and drinking in kitchen area, meat not thawed properly, utensils not stored properly, knives stored between prep tables and bulk containers not labeled.
