Man accused of taking his truck from wrecker service without paying

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI -

Police are on the hunt for a man who took his towed truck from a wrecker service without paying to get it out.

The incident happened at Lone Star Wrecker when police say the suspect arrived to get his truck back, but then left the premises without paying.

Police say the gate at Lone Star Wrecker is normally locked, but unfortunately at the time of the incident it wasn't, making it an easy escape for the suspect.

Technically, a person can't steal their own vehicle if they paid for it, but police say the man could be charged with theft of services.

Police are currently looking for the suspect. If you know anything about this incident, call CCPD at 886-2600.
