SARITA, Texas - U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested two U.S. Citizens and a Mexican national in separate incidents during smuggling attempts.
On Friday, agents assigned to the Sarita Checkpoint boarded a bus and encountered a Mexican national with what appeared to be odd shaped bulges around his waist. Further inspection revealed bundles of heroin and methamphetamines taped to his body. The combined estimated value of the narcotics was over $450,000.00. The subject was subsequently arrested.

On Sunday, a grain hopper occupied by two United States citizens arrived at the primary inspection lane of the Sarita checkpoint, where a canine alerted to the cargo area of the trailer. Further investigation revealed four illegal aliens concealed within the grain. Both occupants were arrested.
