CORPUS CHRISTI -

Another doctor in the Coastal Bend area has been accused of touching a female patient inappropriately.

Dr. Eric Ping Chiang with the Corpus Christi Rheumatology Clinic is accused of inappropriately lifting a female patient's shirt and examining her breasts, according to the Texas Medical Board.

Chiang is a rheumatologist who examines patients with arthritis, joint, muscle and bone complications.

The Texas Medical Board says that Dr. Chiang has agreed to undergo psychiatric evaluation and complete a professional boundaries course.

On top of taking the course, Chiang will now have to be accompanied by a chaperone anytime he performs an exam on a female patient.

Chiang is the second doctor in the Coastal Bend area to be investigated by the state for similar allegations in the recent months.

The Texas Medical Board is also investigating Dr. Jaime Sandoval who is accused of sexually assaulting several of his female patients.

According to a press release issued by the Texas Medical Board, Dr. Sandoval, agreed to surrender his Texas medical license on August 25, 2017.
