CCPD non-emergency lines back up after Sunday outage

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI -

Alerts from the City of Corpus Christi confirmed that service had been restored to its non-emergency dispatch lines.

An outage had been reported earlier Sunday, with the city warning residents that their MetroCom dispatch center, which handles emergency and non-emergency calls from the city for EMS, Fire, Police and other services, could not currently receive calls through its non-emergency lines.

Residents were asked to contact alternate numbers throughout the day at 361-882-1911 or 361-488-4357; however as of time of writing, city alerts advised that service had been restored to its normal line, 361-886-2600.
