Man allegedly assaults woman after being told to clean room

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI -

A man who took out his anger on a woman who told him to clean a room is now behind bars.

It happened Sunday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. at a home on the 1800 block of Roslyn St.

When officers arrived, they contacted a 48-year-old female victim who was being treated for injuries.

The victim told officers she had got into an argument with a 22-year-old suspect over cleaning a room.

She says the suspect became angry, threw a TV on the ground and then pushed her to the ground.

A 26-year-old witness told officers she saw the suspect push her mother, then picked her up and threw her onto the floor.

The victim was in some pain, but fortunately was not seriously hurt.

Officers arrested 22-year-old Elliott McCoy for assault.

McCoy was additionally charged with criminal trespass after officers found out he had a criminal trespass warning for that home.
