Severe flooding in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO -

A flash flood warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for San Antonio and multiple counties surrounding the area. 

Heavy rains are causing extremely dangerous street flooding and several road closures due to high waters. 

If you are driving and come across a flooded road, turn around and don't drown.  Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. 

High water rescues have been reported throughout the morning, so please be careful and avoid driving if possible. 

If you live in a warned area, officials are advising folks to move to higher ground immediately. 

Folks who live along streams and creeks should also take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
