Posted: Updated:

Fire investigators are looking into a fire at a townhome in Flour Bluff.

It happened just after 5 a.m. on Friday on the 2900 block of Saint Joseph.

Firefighters say the fire started on a second floor unit by a man who reportedly stabbed himself before starting the fire.

The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for the self-inflicted stab wound.

Fire crews were able to control the flames in about 30 minutes.

Surrounding tenants were able to evacuate and fortunately no one else was hurt.

Fire officials have not released any details on how the fire was started.
