City manager, city attorney of Alice fired

Posted: Updated:
ALICE -

The city manager and city attorney of Alice have lost their jobs.

Both were fired during a heated city council meeting that took place Thursday night.

Andy Joslin had been the city manager since March of 2016, and David Towler was appointed city attorney in October of 2015.

Joslin says he may pursue a lawsuit against the city and the council members who voted to fire him.

No official details have been released as to why Joslin and Towler were both fired.

Former mayor John Lemon has taken the position of interim city attorney, and city clerk Diana Lopez is now the interim city manager.
