T.C. Ayers pool closed again

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI -

The T.C. Ayers pool has been shut down once again due to health concerns.

According to the city, the pool had be closed Wednesday because of an aggressive type of algae that's growing in the water.

City officials say the conventional pool treatments don't seem to be working, but they are working to resolve the issue.

The city plans to reopen the pool this Saturday so nearby residents won't have to wait too long.

When the pool was last closed, it reopened the first week of June after nearly four years of renovations.

A week after it reopened, it had to be closed when new paint started peeling off.

Other public pools that folks can attend are Collier, Greenwood and HEB pools.
