Dog dies after south side bee attack

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI -

A south side bee attack on two dogs has sadly left one of them dead.

The incident happened Monday afternoon on the 7800 block of Lovain Drive near the King's Crossing Country Club.

A home owner and two dogs were attacked and stung several times by a swarm of bees.

The swarm was so bad that police, the fire department and vector control were called out to the scene.

Crews treated the dogs by pouring water on them, but sadly one of the dogs did not survive.

Action 10 has been told that the other dog is expected to be okay.
