Pilot program geared to expand food truck business

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI -

Action 10 has learned that the city is working on a pilot program to help food truck owners.

The year-long program will allow food truck vendors to sell on the street at five new locations across the city, including City Hall, two spots along Carancahua and two spots along Shoreline.

Some food truck vendors say they are concerned that they might lose their claim to certain areas.

The city plans to meet with food truck vendors to discuss the program.

The city council approved the first vote for the program in today's city council meeting.

If the program passes a second vote, it will kick off on July 19th.
