Suspect arrested in connection with fatal Kingsville stabbing

KINGSVILLE -

A suspect accused of fatally stabbing a Kingsville man is behind bars in Missouri.  

The stabbing happened back on July 1st at a home on the 500 block of East Henrietta in Kingsville. 

When officers arrived at the scene, they found 37-year-old Raul Rodriguez dead with multiple stab wounds near the front porch of the home. 

Kingsville Detectives worked with the Texas Rangers in the investigation to identify 36-year-old Frank Longoria III as a person of interest.

According to Kingsville police, Longoria had fled to St. Joseph Missouri after the stabbing. 

Longoria was tracked down in St. Joseph Missouri by Rangers and detectives with the Kingsville Police Department. 

According to police, Rangers and Detectives were able to obtain a confession from Longoria admitting to stabbing Rodriguez.

Longoria is currently being held at a jail in St. Joesph Missouri, pending an extradition hearing on July 14th. 

Kingsville Police are still investigating the case and asking anyone with information about the crime to contact Senior Detective John Greif or Senior Detective Ryan Webb with the Kingsville Police Department at 361-592-4311.
