CCPD: Lowes stabbing suspect turns self in

Police say an 18-year-old man accused of stabbing a Good Samaritan has turned himself in. 

According to police, Juan Antonio Sanchez turned himself in Tuesday morning around 5:30 a.m.

The stabbing happened outside the Lowes Home Improvement store back on July 2nd. 

Sanchez is accused of stabbing a man who attempted to stop him and another suspect from allegedly shoplifting. 

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition with several stab wounds. 

According to police, the victim was released from the hospital Monday evening and is expected to be okay. 

Sanchez is charged with aggravated robbery and is currently being held at the Nueces County Jail on a $100,000 bond. 

Police a second arrest warrant may be issued for the other suspect who is still at large.
