Hearing postponed for youth mentor facing child porn charges

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI -

A hearing for a youth mentor facing child pornography charges has been postponed by a federal judge.

37-year-old Kevin Ray McMillan was arrested Wednesday night as he was on his way to allegedly engage in sexual activity with a young girl.

McMillan is the founder of a non-profit organization called the Texas Youth Entrepreneurs that mentors youth aspiring to be future business owners.

According to federal court documents, McMillan had inappropriate contact with at least two young girls, ages 13 and 14.

McMillan reportedly admitted to engaging in sexual activity with one of those girls and took pictures of it with a cell phone.

McMillan mentored children at the Boys and Girls Club of Corpus Christi for a couple of months in 2016, but is not a regular employee.

Officials with Boys and Girls Club of Corpus Christi say they have no reason to believe these incidents involved any club members.
