A man accused of attacking and injuring another man with a knife is behind bars.
The incident happened Tuesday evening around 6:30 p.m. in the area of Leopard and Stillwell.
When officers arrived at the scene, the 21-year-old victim was being treated by medics for a laceration below his left knee.
The victim told officers that he had just got off the bus and saw the suspect drive into a nearby parking lot.
The victim says he recognized the suspect who began walking towards him in an aggressive manner.
As the suspect got closer, he began yelling at the victim and then punched him in the face, according to the victim.
The victim alleges the suspect then pulled out a knife, began to slash at him and cut him on his left leg, just below his knee.
The suspect fled the scene but the victim was able to provide the identity of the suspect to officers.
As officers were responding to the call they received a description of a grey Chevy Camaro that fled the scene.
Officers were able to quickly locate the suspected vehicle and pull over the driver near Leopard and Southern Minerals Rd.
Officers arrested Scott Myles Ocon and charged him with aggravated assault.
The victim was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
