Driver cited in crash that injured motorcyclist

Police say distracted driving is being blamed for an early morning crash that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital. 

The crash involving three vehicles happened just after 6 a.m. Tuesday morning at the intersection of Staples and Weber.

Officers say the driver of a truck ran a red light at the intersection and hit a motorcyclist, then scraped another vehicle. 

According to police, the 22-year-old driver of the truck admitted to being distracted when accident occurred. 

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, but no one else was hurt. 

Officers cited the 22-year-old driver for running the red light.
