CORPUS CHRISTI -

A group of teen's attempt to rob a woman at a local Starbucks didn't turn out the way they hoped.

The incident happened Monday night at the Starbucks on Staples and SPID.

Cops say the teens snatched a purse from the woman and quickly took off in a car.

Officers spotted the suspected vehicle less than 10 minutes following the robbery.

Following a brief chase, the suspects bailed out of the car and took off running.

Police say three of the teens were captured, but a fourth suspect managed to get away.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the chase and police recovered the stolen purse.

Officers charged 17-year-old Kika Watson-Perez with robbery, evading arrest and failure to identify.

Officers also arrested two teen girls, ages 15 and 16.
