Fatal hit-and-run victim identified

Police say no charges have been filed against a man accused of a fatal hit and run accident. 

The fate of the accused suspect will be determined by a grand jury. 

According to police, the female victim was walking on Leopard near NPID when she was struck by a car Sunday night. 

Police were able to obtain a description of the suspected pickup after reviewing surveillance footage near the scene. 

Officers spotted a truck matching the description in a parking lot not far from from the scene of the accident. 

Police found the suspected driver in a motel room along with two other people who witnesses say were in the vehicle. 

A medical examiner has identified the victim as 32-year-old Sara Jean Pena.
