CORPUS CHRISTI -

A man accused of attacking and attempting to abduct a woman last month is headed to trial.

A Nueces County grand jury indicted 32-year-old Lyndon Jackson on charges of attempt to commit aggravated kidnapping.

Jackson was arrested after he allegedly attempted to abduct a woman walking home on Carmel Parkway back on March 2nd.

The woman told officers Jackson grabbed her and attempted to drag her into his car.

While attempting to fight off Jackson, nearby neighbors overheard the commotion and turned on their porch lights, causing him to flee.

Police say Jackson was targeting women in that neighborhood.
