CORPUS CHRISTI -

A former teacher who reportedly admitted to having sex with a student is now claiming he's innocent.

Brian Sellers, a former teacher of Collegiate High School, was arrested back in January.

Sellers was charged with having an improper relationship between a student and an educator, which is a second degree felony.

He was taken into custody and held at the Nueces County jail on a $50,000 bond.

According to an arrest report, Sellers waived all his rights and provided a video and audio voluntary statement allegedly admitting to having sex on multiple occasions with his high school student.

During a hearing Thursday morning, Sellers pleaded not guilty to six counts of improper relationship between and educator and student, and four child sex charges.

His next hearing is set for May 5th.
