Rain Chances on the Decrease

Posted: Updated:

After observing unsettled weather across the state for the majority of the last two weeks; rain chances are on the decrease for the second half of the work-week.

Isolated showers were observed this Wednesday afternoon across the Coastal Bend. Rain activity began to diminish as we lost daytime heating. Low clouds and patchy fog is expected overnight in the Eastern portion of the area. Expect partly cloudy skies and light winds from the SSE up to 15 MPH. Low of 71 for Corpus Christi.

An upper level ridge will begin to build over our region tonight. As a result, we can expect quiet weather for Thursday and Friday.

Thursday will be sunny and warm. Expect varying degrees of cloudiness, with mostly sunny skies dominating the afternoon forecast. Winds will be from the SSE up to 15 MPH. High of 85 degrees.

Thursday night will be partly cloudy, warm and humid. Expect light winds from the SSE up to only 10 MPH. Low of 71 degrees.

Friday will be mostly sunny and breezy. SSE winds will pick up slightly blowing up to 20 MPH. High of 86 degrees.

A late-season front is expected to arrive Saturday and bring us some cooler temperatures.
