Person of Interest taken into custody for missing woman case

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI -

There's been a break in the case of a missing woman.

After a high-speed chase, police took a person of interest into custody in the missing person case of Breanna Wood.

Police had set up surveillance on the person of interest and followed her when she left the house in a car with a man.

Cops tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver kept going. The chase went through southside of town and ended on highway 665 near Petronila. The man and woman tried to run, but cops caught up with them.

Police had issued a warrant for the woman earlier today in connection to the Breanna Wood case.

The 21-year-old was last seen on October 11th near the 900 block of Stone Street.
