Smallcakes: A Cupcakery located at 5638 Saratoga scored a 100.

Also scoring a 100 is Garcia Elementary located 1945 Gollihar.

The Donuts Palace located at 5117 Weber scored a 97.

Whataburger at 315 West Cotter scored a 96.

Freebirds World Burrito located at 5425 South Padre Island Drive scored a 94.

Sonic Drive Inn at 6417 Weber scored a 94.

Whataburger located at 6425 Weber also scored a 94.

Subway at 4444 Kostoryz scored a 93.

Subway located at 1202 North Chaparral scored a 92.

Subway located at 5127 Weber scored a 91.

Taqueria Garibaldi located at 200 Staples scored 90.

Topping the B list with an 88 is the Church's Fried Chicken at 5149 Weber.

Violations included: chicken kept at the wrong temperature, employees wearing jewelry, no lids on employee cups and no thermometers.

Taqueria Mi Ranchito at 6116 Ayers scored an 82.

Health inspectors found salsa kept at the wrong temperature, meat not thawed properly and a dirty vent hood.

There were expired chips, raw meat was stored above ready to eat food and the health inspector needed a copy of the pest control receipt.

Pier 99 located at 2822 Shoreline also scored an 82.

There was a hole in ceiling above dishwasher and dirty walls.

There were no towels at hand washing sink, toxic items were near the food area and dirty soda nozzles.

The restaurant was told to replace its microwave and there was bad odor at the entrance to kitchen.

Landing on the C list with a 76 is Taiwan Restaurant located at 5425 South Padre Island Drive.

Duck, chicken and egg rolls were kept at the wrong temperature.

Chicken was not cooled properly, food in the cooler needs to be covered and employees were told to use cleaning rags for the sanitizer bucket, ready to eat food and canned goods were not labeled, there were roaches and no thermometers.

Taqueria Acapulco at 4425 Weber scored a 74.

Violations included: Eggs and sour cream kept at the wrong temperature, employees not washing hands between tasks, no lids on employee cups, bowls used as scoops, raw food stored above ready to eat food, no soap or towels at hand washing sink, rodent droppings, toxic bottles not labeled, food stored on the floor, ice scoop not stored properly and the restroom needs a self closing door.

The lowest score but still passing goes to Jack In The Box located at 6505 Everhart.

The restaurant scored a 72.

Health inspectors told employees they need to wear gloves, not wear jewelry or fake nails.

There were expired buns, food in the cooler needed to be labeled, there were no paper towels at the hand washing sink and there were gnats.

Employees were told to use sanitizer for dishes and sanitizer bucket and there was a dirty microwave.
