Steven Romo joined the Action 10 News team in February of 2010.
Before coming to KZTV and the Coastal Bend, Steven worked as an Anchor/Reporter in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Steven got his start in journalism while at Texas A&M University, where he worked as a New Media Reporter for the Web and print versions of the school's award-winning newspaper, The Battalion. He was privileged to meet and interview many prominent figures including President George H. W. Bush and Defense Secretary Robert Gates. While in College Station, Romo interned at KBTX-TV3, the CBS affiliate in the area.
Steven says that he views journalism as a form of public service, which he is eager to provide to viewers. He says gathering and reporting stories about people and the world around him is central to his personal and professional fulfillment. In his spare time, Steven says he loves to get together with his friends and family, work out, read, dream about foreign adventures, and, now that he's in Corpus Christi, spend time on the beach.
