Woman Hit By a Suspected Drunk Driver While Photographing Another Accident

CORPUS CHRISTI - A woman was hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning as she was snapping pictures of her car that had just been hit by a suspected drunk driver, police say.

Police say the 22-year-old woman was riding in the passenger seat of a black Chevy Trailblazer on the 11600 block of State Highway 361. Police say the driver of a 2006 Dodge Charger pulled out from Zahn Road and hit the Trailblazer.

The driver of the Charger, 38-year-old Cruz Zamudio was arrested for driving while intoxicated, police say.

Police say neither passenger in the Trailblazer was injured. However, police say as the 22-year-old woman was hit by a 2004 Toyota Sequoia as she photographed the vehicle crash. She was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be ok.

The 44-year-old man driving the Sequoia was not cited.
