CORPUS CHRISTI- We had isolated showers again today with rain actually falling right at the airport. Temperatures were a little lower this morning at 74 and still hot this afternoon and in the mid 90's. Here are the details.
With upper level high pressure to the north the Gulf of Mexico is open to pump in rich tropical moisture which when combined with an upper level low will produce scattered showers and thundershowers much of next week. Until then only isolated showers will occur with daytime heating and much lighter winds. Our daytime temperatures stay hot and above normal while the overnight lows will be slightly below normal.
Saturday and Sunday expect mostly sunny skies in and around isolated thundershowers generally light winds hot and humid with a high tomorrow of 95 and 96 on Sunday. The heat index tops out at 104 each afternoon.
Tonight we will have fair skies and tranquil with a low of 74.
Rain increases here next week beginning on Monday (see map.)
