CORPUS CHRISTI -A local couple called the Troubleshooters because of their recent experience with Time Warner Cable.
Alice and Dan Beissel switched their cable, internet, and phone service from AT&T to Time Warner Cable on November 4th.
They said they decided to switch back to AT&T ten days later.
"It was a fight from day one, from the time that we received the equipment here, for us to enjoy the services that we had asked for," Alice Beissel tells us.
She says their television kept going to black, amongst other problems.
So they kept calling Time Warner to do something about it.
She said Time Warner technicians eventually came back to their home to see what was wrong.
But as soon as they left, Alice claims the television went to black again.
So the Beissel's called Time Warner back. Alice recounted the phone conversation her husband had with a representative.
"His words to Dan was 'Wwhat did you do that was wrong?'' And that was the straw that broke the camel's back," says Beissel.
According to Alice, they decided to cancel their service and returned all of Time Warner's equipment the very next day on November 14th.
Beissel says a Time Warner representative told her she would receive a refund check for $118.30 within 4 weeks.
It's been longer than 4 weeks now and the couple tells us they still haven't received the check.
Another Time Warner representative told them the reason for the delay was that checks are issued out of the company's California office and they have no control over when those checks will be mailed.
That's when Alice decided to give the Troubleshooters a call.
"It's abuse that we are now receiving from them because they're ignoring what we're saying," says Alice.
We've made several calls to Time Warner Cable in an attempt to speak with anyone who can help the couple.
Unfortunately, there is no customer service contact in Corpus Christi.
We did speak with Jeff Garcia who handles local media sales. He offered to help the Beissels get in contact with a customer service rep who could better assist them.
As soon as the couple gets their check, we'll pass along the good news.
