PORT ARANSAS --

Floor tiles that lift up, a missing bathroom door and a stove and oven that barely work are the current problems Michael Heaton has at his apartment in Port Aransas.

"So, I just want to try and get somewhere, get some help and try and get a stove," said Heaton.

But these problems are just a few of the problems Heaton said he's had since he moved in to Sea Aire Village back in October 2008.

Heaton said when he moved in, he was told his floor would be fixed within two weeks.

It wasn't until Heaton said he fell through the floor, though, that any repairs were made.

Heaton said after he fell through the floor, he was moved into another apartment temporarily in order for the problems to be fixed.

He said when he was moved back in, the problems still remained.

"I just was hoping that they would have everything finished before they moved me back in," said Heaton.

Action Ten News spoke with the property manager of the apartments, Tim A. Voorkamp, by phone Tuesday.

Voorkamp has been the property manager of the apartments for about three months.

Voorkamp said he's willing to fix the problems as soon as Heaton pays the $100.00 that he owes on January's rent.

He also said Heaton needs to sign a new lease.

Heaton showed Action Ten News receipts to prove the money he owes is on its way.

Heaton and the property manager plan to meet Wednesday morning to discuss Heaton's much needed apartment repairs.
