CORPUS CHRISTI - Mary Fisher gets upset whenever she talks about it. "It's just this whole ball of wax. Everytime it rolls, it rolls in the same direction. They never do anything on time. They're incompetency. They're always losing time sheets."
She's talking about Legacy Home Healthcare, the company she says she's worked for as a provider about 4 months. She claims Legacy hasn't paid her. That they owed her nearly $900 for work she performed in December. She showed us her time sheets. So frustrated, she quit her job Tuesday.
Not getting paid is a sensitive issue for anybody, especially a mother like Fisher, who claimed she didn't have enough money to give her son for lunch at school. "You weren't even able to give your kids money for school?" we asked Fisher. "Yeah. I even pulled out all my change for him to eat lunch, but he didn't even take it," she told us.
We visited Legacy's offices on the corner of South Staples and Holly Road, trying to get their side of this story. The people we spoke with didn't have answers for our questions, but promised that someone with answers would call us back.
But Fisher called us late Wednesday evening to tell us that no sooner had our story aired on Action Ten News at 6pm, someone from Legacy stopped by dropped off her paycheck. "Well I knew, I knew something was gonna happen. As long as y'all were behind it, I knew something was gonna happen," she said with a big smile on her face.
