CORPUS CHRISTI- It did not rain much in the area today as the axis of instability stayed just to our northeast where heavy rain fell from Victoria to Houston. Although the rain is backing off somewhat there is still potential for more rain the next couple of days and then again the middle of next week.
Tropical moisture is still in place across south Texas and with moderate instability more showers will develop over the area. There will be a wide range in rainfall amounts (as was the case yesterday) with a few areas not participating while others will see heavy rain. Activity tapers off Friday then pick up slightly again on Saturday.
Tonight will be tranquil with nearly calm winds and mainly clear skies expect a low of 75. Thundershowers will develop late near the coast.
Friday expect scattered thundershowers with a little more sunshine and a high of 91.
Rainfall picks up again on Saturday but not a washout.
