CORPUS CHRISTI - Showers are on the way. We have light showers heading into the Coastal Bend this afternoon thanks to the passage of an upper level disturbance.

Canadian high pressure has built in behind Thursday's cold front is moving out and a fairly unstable weather pattern will move in for the next 24 -36 hours. It will be cool and breezy this afternoon as well, highs Sunday will only reach the low to mid 50 and there will be no appearance of the sun today. The wind will be very stiff, out of the NE blowing between 20 and 30 miles per hour with some wind gusts in the 30's. Overnight expect it to be windy and cloudy with isolated showers, overnight lows will be in the mid 50's.
This afternoons isolated showers will make way for heavy rain and possible thunderstorms before noon on Monday. A warm front, yes a warm front, is going to pass thorugh the Coastal Bend on Monday leading to unususally warm temperatuers for the next several days. We'll keep you posted if thunderstorms develop tomorrow and keep you updated shoudl any severe weather occure.
Highs on Monday will be in the low 70's after the warm front rolls through, the air behind that front will be very warm. As a matter of fact we're expecting highs to reach near 80 degrees by the middle of the week before our next cold front moves in.
