South Bay Park Murder Suspect's Bond Set At $1 Million

CORPUS CHRISTI - A man is in jail tonight after shooting and killing another man in his early 20's and leaving his body at a local park.
"It's quiet, everyone is friendly. Everyone knows each other. Everyone's nice here. We all get along."
According to Harbor Lights resident, Gabriella Garcia, her neighborhood is a peaceful one. Which is why she was so shocked to see a man's lifeless body lying only a few feet away.
"It's really scary because this is a really quiet neighborhood and you'd never think anything like this would happen. Especially here," said Garcia.
Garcia was on her way home from work when her Mom called her, and told her about the shooting. And naturally, several questions followed.
"Who is he? Why would anyone do that to him? He was obviously running. And there are all these bullet casings here. I don't know, it's just scary," she said.
Police were called out to South Bay Park just after 7 pm Friday night after residents heard several shots fired.
When they got there, they found a man, in his early 20s with multiple gunshot wounds. Medics tried to help him there at the scene, but he died only a short while later.
After speaking with witnesses and gathering evidence, investigators made there way to this home on Sun Ray where they arrested this man, 23 year old Trinity Kane Ringlestein and charged him with the murder.
It's still not clear as to the motive of this brutal shooting, which leaves residents like Garcia, wondering.
"It's really sad. He obviously didn't have a chance. I just don't know why anyone would do that to someone," she said.
Ringlestein's behind bars tonight on a $1 million bond.
