Shots Fired at a Home With a Sleeping Family Inside

CORPUS CHRISTI - Police say someone fired several shots at a home with a family of three sleeping inside around 5:30 Sunday morning.

Police say a 23-year-old resident told officers that his family was sleeping when several gunshots struck and damaged his home on the 2100 block of Rosalie. Officers investigated and found evidence that shots had been fired.

The 23-year-old man, his 20-year-old wife, and their 4-year-old son were not injured by the shots.

The man told police his family just moved into the home a month ago. He said he doesn't know who would shoot at the house, which he is renting.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police.
