CORPUS CHRISTI - Residents on Rio Grande Street saw some relief from flooding as a result of Saturday night's heavy rains. After seeing our report on the water still standing in the roadway, a City of Corpus Christi crew came out an cleared out debris in the storm drains.
Officials say they normally clean out the storm drains every three years, or sooner if necessary. We're told crews will keep an eye out for flooding along the street during the next rain event to determine if they need to take further action.
