CORPUS CHRISTI - Drivers along I-37 near McKinzie are asking for some relief from the Pothole Patrol. Once they dodged construction, now they're confronted with patches of potholes.
Car after car after car caught the pothole on the I-37 access road. Driver Russ Seward says it's a daily deal for drivers out here. "I think its tearing up a lot of people's cars, that's what I think. Its hard on the tires and its expensive if you drive certain vehicles."
The potholes pose the biggest problem for drivers heading straight along I-37, because once they pass a big pothole at the lights, there are many more for them to try and navigate.
"You just kind of swerve to the side and try and get around them the best you can, most the time, you really just can't," Seward tells us.
Most who drive here daily have their own strategies, like attempting to dodge the holes, but even with caution, this commute can turn costly.
"They need to fix it, that's why I pay taxes," says Seward.
This afternoon a spokeperson for the Texas Department of Transportation told us the department is responsible for that stretch of road.
We're told a crew will be out of fix the problems this week.
